Hope in Grief 슬픔 중의 소망 [ Luke 24:13 - 24:32 ] - hymn 91 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. Luke 24:31 When I was nineteen, one of my close friends was killed in a car accident. In the following weeks and months, I walked each day in a tunnel of grief. The pain of losing someone so young and wonderful clouded my vision, and at times I even felt unaware of what was going on around me. I felt so blinded by pain and grief that I simply could not see God. In Luke 24, two disciples, confused and brokenhearted after Jesus’s death, didn’t realize they were walking with their resurrected Teacher Himself, even as He explained from Scripture why the promised Savior had to die and rise again. only when He took bread and broke it was it revealed that this was Jesus (vv. 30–31). Although the followers of Jesus had faced death in all its horror when Jesus died, through His resurrection from the dead God showed them how to hope again. Like those disciples, we might feel weighed down with confusion or grief. But we can find hope and comfort in the reality that Jesus is alive and at work in the world—and in us. Although we still face heartache and pain, we can welcome Christ to walk with us in our tunnel of grief. As the Light of the world (John 8:12), He can bring rays of hope to brighten our fog. —AMY BOUCHER PYE [ 누가복음 24:13 - 24:32 ] - 찬송가 91 장 그들의 눈이 밝아져 그인 줄 알아보더니 예수는 그들에게 보이지 아니하시는지라 누가복음 24:31 나는 열아홉 살 때 친한 친구를 교통사고로 잃은 적이 있습니다. 그 후 여러 주 여러 달 동안 나는 매일 슬픔 속에 살았습니다. 너무나 젊은 나이의 멋진 친구를 잃은 고통으로 나는 눈도 어두워지고 때로는 내 주위에서 일어나는 일도 잘 느끼지 못했습니다. 나는 고통과 슬픔으로 너무나 앞이 캄캄해서 하나님조차 볼 수 없었습니다. 누가복음 24장에는 예수님이 돌아가신 후 슬픔과 혼란에 빠진 두 명의 제자를 보여줍니다. 예수님은 그들과 걸으며 약속된 구세주가 왜 죽으시고 다시 사셔야 하는지를 성경으로 설명하셨지만 그들은 함께 걷는 바로 그분이 부활하신 스승 예수님이신 것을 깨닫지 못했습니다. 예수님이 떡을 떼실 때에야 그들은 예수님이라는 것을 알게 되었습니다(30-31절). 예수님이 돌아가시자 제자들은 모두 죽음의 공포에 떨었지만 하나님은 주님의 부활을 통해 그들에게 다시 희망을 보여주셨습니다. 그 제자들처럼 우리도 혼란이나 슬픔에 깊이 잠길 때가 있습니다. 그러나 예수님이 살아계시고 우리 안에, 그리고 이 세상에서 일하고 계신다는 사실에 우리는 소망과 위로를 찾을 수 있습니다. 우리에게는 여전히 가슴 아픈 일들과 고통이 있습니다. 그러나 그리스도를 초청하여 슬픔의 터널 안을 함께 걸어갈 수가 있습니다. 이 세상의 빛이신 예수님은(요 8:12) 우리의 안개를 밝히는 소망의 빛줄기를 비춰주십니다.

Lord God, thank You for being the light in the darkness. Bring hope when I’m sad and confused, and help me to see Your glory. Though we grieve, we have hope in Jesus. 13. Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem. 14. They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15. As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; 16. but they were kept from recognizing him. 17. He asked them, "What are you discussing together as you walk along?" They stood still, their faces downcast. 18. one of them, named Cleopas, asked him, "Are you only a visitor to Jerusalem and do not know the things that have happened there in these days?" 19. "What things?" he asked. "About Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. 20. The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him; 21. but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place. 22. In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning 23. but didn't find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. 24. Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but him they did not see." 25. He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26. Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" 27. And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. 28. As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus acted as if he were going farther. 29. But they urged him strongly, "Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over." So he went in to stay with them. 30. When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32. They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?" ∙ 사랑하는 하나님, 어둠에서 빛이 되어주시니 감사합니다. 슬프거나 혼란스러울 때 소망을 주시고 하나님의 영광을 보게 하소서. 슬플 때에도 예수님 안에는 소망이 있다. 13. ○그 날에 그들 중 둘이 예루살렘에서 이십오 리 되는 엠마오라 하는 마을로 가면서 14. 이 모든 된 일을 서로 이야기하더라 15. 그들이 서로 이야기하며 문의할 때에 예수께서 가까이 이르러 그들과 동행하시나 16. 그들의 눈이 가리어져서 그인 줄 알아보지 못하거늘 17. 예수께서 이르시되 너희가 길 가면서 서로 주고받고 하는 이야기가 무엇이냐 하시니 두 사람이 슬픈 빛을 띠고 머물러 서더라 18. 그 한 사람인 글로바라 하는 자가 대답하여 이르되 당신이 예루살렘에 체류하면서도 요즘 거기서 된 일을 혼자만 알지 못하느냐 19. 이르시되 무슨 일이냐 이르되 나사렛 예수의 일이니 그는 하나님과 모든 백성 앞에서 말과 일에 능하신 선지자이거늘 20. 우리 대제사장들과 관리들이 사형 판결에 넘겨 주어 십자가에 못 박았느니라 21. 우리는 이 사람이 이스라엘을 속량할 자라고 바랐노라 이뿐 아니라 이 일이 일어난 지가 사흘째요 22. 또한 우리 중에 어떤 여자들이 우리로 놀라게 하였으니 이는 그들이 새벽에 무덤에 갔다가 23. 그의 시체는 보지 못하고 와서 그가 살아나셨다 하는 천사들의 나타남을 보았다 함이라 24. 또 우리와 함께 한 자 중에 두어 사람이 무덤에 가 과연 여자들이 말한 바와 같음을 보았으나 예수는 보지 못하였느니라 하거늘 25. 이르시되 미련하고 선지자들이 말한 모든 것을 마음에 더디 믿는 자들이여 26. 그리스도가 이런 고난을 받고 자기의 영광에 들어가야 할 것이 아니냐 하시고 27. 이에 모세와 모든 선지자의 글로 시작하여 모든 성경에 쓴 바 자기에 관한 것을 자세히 설명하시니라 28. 그들이 가는 마을에 가까이 가매 예수는 더 가려 하는 것 같이 하시니 29. 그들이 강권하여 이르되 우리와 함께 유하사이다 때가 저물어가고 날이 이미 기울었나이다 하니 이에 그들과 함께 유하러 들어가시니라 30. 그들과 함께 음식 잡수실 때에 떡을 가지사 축사하시고 떼어 그들에게 주시니 31. 그들의 눈이 밝아져 그인 줄 알아 보더니 예수는 그들에게 보이지 아니하시는지라 32. 그들이 서로 말하되 길에서 우리에게 말씀하시고 우리에게 성경을 풀어 주실 때에 우리 속에서 마음이 뜨겁지 아니하더냐 하고
